Growth and development are two contrasting yet abounding phenomenon in natural existence. The former is organic that requires little or no human efforts for the impact to be seen, while the latter entirely requires human efforts to metamorphosize. However, both are necessities and parameters in measuring human's time to time progress.
In leadership, it takes a gifted and experienced hand, endowed with sound education, wisdom and knowledge to incubate and marshall the ideas that institutes growth and development in the polity.
Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA) is not only fit to achieve this feat but unequivocally the man needed with respect to current realities around the state. There's no doubt that his figure in Ondo State's politics comes with the tenacity, courage and acumen needed to reposition the state.
It is pertinent to note that the sunshine state is going through moments of downturn. And one of the major contributors to this ill development is the non-prioritization of human development.
Consequently, this has also disjointed and stagnated her development and growths of all sorts. The activities, level of operation and productivity in a state blessed with intellectuals further attests to this very claim.
On the otherhand, emphasis on human development has formed the basis and major part of Akingboye's plans. One could easily understand his stance as he repeatedly sing the song of "lifting the state from just a civil service state to a commercial and industrial hub."
The greatest development one can place on human is to create an enabling environment for business, growth and problem solving capabilities to thrive. And this is basically what Akingboye's conspicuous presence represents in this race for Ondo State's leadership baton.
More intrinsically, the best atmosphere needed for humanity to thrive in this century is that of a bogus economy.
However, his coming into the race has given us a business mogul who understands the in-depth concept of economy. It's effect on growth and development of a society like ours in every way.
Fundamentally, with careful studies of his track records of activities in business, experience in human development and more importantly, his political antecedence, one would be left to believe he has come to re-engineer the state through Innovative cum productive concept of leadership.
Hence, his breakthrough in the human development plans would tentatively water the struggle to redeeming and rejuvenating the near moribund Ondo state to an eldorado, the pride of her citizens, a place to watch and big brother state in the Nigerian comity of states.
