Akoko monarch urges Nigerians to desist from fake news

The Paramount ruler of Eriti Akoko, Oba. Amos Ogunleye, has asked Nigerians to eschew fake news and provocative statements that are capable of causing pandemonium, veracity reports. 

The monarch made the disclosure with our correspondent today while noting that fake news poses massive threat to nation's unity. 

Oba Ogunleye stated that, "it is highly regrettable that the genuine peaceful protest by the youths was hijacked by hoodlums who looted, engaging in arson,  killing and disfiguring of both public and private properties a cross the country.

Eleriti noted that traditional rulers need to play the roles of fathers to the youths by engaging them in dialogue at town hall community meetings.

He appealed  to government to come out with policies that will make the youths have sense of responsibility in governance.
