Crying Mother By Adeola David

File Photo of a crying mother

Mama please don't cry, heaven heard your anguish
Please wipe your tears, heaven will surely judge them all.
Your children died like a slave, but yet you still manage to
sustained in dismay, you summon courage and hope in your
hopelessness, you laughed in your locket every night in anguish
because you are too old to bear this burden.

The picture of your children remains unquenchable fire that
burn like inferno in your heart, yet because you are a
daughter of no man you silent in your sobriety,
You strived hard to nurture and give your grand children sound
education in your aged, still the same fate that bind their mother rock
them all, they promise not to die like their parent and stand for their
freedom, but now their blood wet the street and nobody to split
the soil when you are gone. Oh!!! MAMA please dont cry.
