Following the wanton destruction of the residences of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Riliwan Akiolu, and Soun of Ogbomosho, Oba. Oladunni Ajagungbade, a renowned socio political organization, Yoruba welfare group (YWG), has pledged to support the monarchs.
This was contained in terse statement today obtained by our correspondent, signed by the group's National Chairman, Ogbeni Babatunde Iyanda Oluyole.
According to the statement, the group strongly condemned the hoodlums who invaded the palace of the royal fathers, adding that the perpetrators bereft regard for royal institution.
It will be recalled that some hoodlums who hijacked the #Endsar protest stormed the abodes of the monarchs, destroyed valuables.
While commiserating with the duo, YWG said, "We are however grateful to God that the Royal families are safe and unhurt"
"We are so saddened about the incident as we know that your loved ones have shared so many special times together in the destroyed place" said YWG
