A traditional and Christian Clerics, have called on Nigerians to seek peace, selflessness and be cautions as they celebrate Christmas amid the second wave of Covid19.
A frontline Monarch in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State, the Olubaka of Oka land, Oba. Dr Yusuf Adebori Adeleye, urged residents to adhere strictly, all highlighted measures to combat the spread of the pandemic.
He appealed by asking inhabitants to pave way for peaceful co-existence and ensure cohesion in all spheres of life.
On the worsening insecurity, the Monarch posited that safeguarding the society; Residents must work hand-in-gloves with security agencies to nip criminal activities in the bud.
On his own part, Pastor in Charge of Christ Apostolic Church, Moutain Of Fulfillment, Owo, Pastor Samuel Ajayi, described Jesus Christ as a symbol of peace, humility and selflessness.
He urged Nigerian to observe all the COVID-19 preventive protocols during the celebration, saying COVID-19 was still a potent health danger to the world.
Also, An Anglican Priest and Vicar in charge of St Peter's Anglican Church Ikare-Akoko, Ven. Adewole, harped on forgiving spirit, selflessness and service to humanity.
Ven Adewole charged well meaning Nigerians to extend hands of kindness to the less privileged, while advocating for the use of nose mask, and washing of hands as part of efforts to forestall the fast spread of the novel virus.
However, Pastor Agbaje of Oluwadamilare Christ Apostolic Church, Okeagbe, enjoined citizens to imbibe the spirit of humilty, perseverance, advising leaders to accommodate the electorates.
With the second wave of Covid19, Agbaje called for moderation during this yuletide season, appealed for strict adherence to guidelines.
