Mercurial market-preneur and politician, Prince Adedapo Oluwaseyi Adelegan, who contested the last governorship election in Ondo State, has just lost his loving mum, Deaconness Iyadunni Victoria Adelegan, aged 80 years old.
The late Madam Adelegan was born 5th August 1940, lived a life of impact on society till she transitioned to eternity on Tuesday 16th March, 2021.
She was once the Manager of the Senior Staff Club, University of Lagos in the 70s, the propritress of Victabo Vocational Training Institute; and the renowned Victabo Restaurants in Lagos and Akure (Ondo State) in the '80s.
She served her State as a Government-appointed Sole Administrator of Owena Motels during the Military Regime, after which she retired to the United Kingdom in the mid '90s where she served as a Bible School Governor, Marriage Councellor and an Elder in her Church in England.
Deaconess Adelegan was known as a Godly and loving mother; not just to her children, but to many people she mentored.
She was a soul-saver. She influenced many people who crossed her path, to relate with God without inhibitions.
With a caring and a generous heart, she impacted her community with her philanthropy, which produced many graduates and launched many women into entrepreneurship just like her.
Big Mummy as she was called is survived by her beloved children and grandchildren, amongst them Prince Dapo, Adelegan, Akin Adelegan, Banke and Tinuola Adelegan.
