Ondo NUJ felicitates Adetula on conferment of national honour


The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ondo State Council, heartily congratulates the Chairman of Owena Press Ltd (The Hope newspaper), Sir Ademola Adetula on his conferment with a national honour - Member of the Federal Republic (MFR), by the Federal Government.

It is indeed a honour well deserved, going by your acuteness, and doggedness in the journalism profession, and your meritorious service to your fatherland.

This is contained in a Press Statement signed by the State Chairman of the Union, Prince Leke Adegbite and the State Secretary, Comrade Olaoluwa Meshack.

Ondo NUJ observes with satisfaction your attributes as a quintessential media administrator and a professional journalist, coupled with your unblemished records over the years singled you out for the recognition by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

According to the Pen Profession Union,  through Sir Adetula's career as a journalist and media guru spanning about four and a half decades, your have succeeded in building bridges and mentoring journalists across all spheres of journalism.

NUJ Ondo State celebrates you, and thanks the Federal Government for the honour, while praying for more of such honours. It is our hope that the award will spur Sir Adetula to do more for our profession and humanity.

Sir Ademola Adetula began his journalism career as a reporter with an Ilorin based tabloid,  The Nigerian Herald in 1978 rising to major editorial posts in the industry, and currently the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer of Owena Press Ltd, publisher of the Hope Titles.
