The Ekiti State Amotekun Corps has made a tragic discovery, uncovering the decomposing bodies of two young girls in the Aramoko-Ekiti forest during a routine patrol.
This information was disclosed in an official statement released by Officer Adeleye Abiodun Adewale, Head of Communications for the Ekiti State Amotekun Corps.
The statement revealed that the girls were murdered by a 29-year-old man identified as Ogunnike Philip, originally from Ogun State.
According to the release, "The remains of Taiwo (age withheld) were found in the bush near Egbewa Street, behind an unfinished building in Aramoko-Ekiti, while the body of 18-year-old Fatoki Seun was discovered in the bush along Oke-Oja Street in the same town."
Local operatives from the Ekiti West Local Government Command reported that the bodies had decayed significantly, causing severe air pollution in the area, and were infested with maggots.
Health and Environmental Officers in Aramoko-Ekiti have since removed the remains and transported them to the General Hospital for further action, the statement concluded.
