Panic grips Ondo community over death of 30-yr-old man

Panic gripped the Elewuro community in Ondo West Local Government Area on Wednesday evening after the brutal killing of a 30-year-old man, identified as "Delo."

As reported by Hope Newspaper, his body was discovered lifeless in his room, causing widespread fear and confusion among residents.

According to sources, Delo was in his room at the time of the incident, though the exact circumstances of his death remain uncertain.

The alarm was raised when Delo’s brother repeatedly knocked on his door without any response. Concerned tenants eventually opened a window and found him unresponsive on his bed.

The Fagun Police Division was alerted, and officers forced the door open, discovering bruises on Delo's face, neck, and other parts of his body.

Delo’s brother was arrested after police found his phone in the brother's possession before entering the room.

Attempts to interview the suspect were blocked by the police after the arrest.

The police later moved Delo’s body to the morgue.

The community is in shock following Delo’s death, with family and friends devastated. Mourning groups gathered, sharing grief and discussing the troubling incident.

A police source confirmed that an investigation is ongoing. Officers responded immediately after tenants raised the alarm, securing the scene, retrieving the body, and transferring the suspect to the State CID in Akure for further investigation.
