Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, revealed that his administration will introduce a minimum wage of N85,000 for state employees.
The governor made the announcement during an interview on Channels TV’s “One-On-One with Babajide Sanwo-Olu” on Wednesday evening. He emphasized that the wage was a result of discussions with the state’s labor unions.
“It’s not about competition, but rather about what is affordable and within our capacity,” Sanwo-Olu explained, clarifying that the decision was based on the state's economic capabilities.
