Waive's endorsement solidifies Oborevwori's leadership across party lines, says Clement Ofovwi

Hon. Clement Ofovwi, also known as General Oloye, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, has emphasized that the endorsement of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori by Rt. Hon. Rev. Ejiroghene Waive confirms that the governor is truly a leader who serves all Deltans, irrespective of political or party affiliations.

Last week, Hon. Francis Waive, the Member of the House of Representatives for Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency, officially endorsed Governor Oborevwori for a second term in office.

This significant endorsement highlighted the governor's growing acceptance and demonstrated his leadership qualities that transcend political divides.

Hon. Ofovwi, in reaction to the endorsement, commended Hon. Waive for recognizing Governor Oborevwori's dedication to people-focused governance.

He described the endorsement as a clear affirmation of the governor's inclusive leadership, which benefits all Deltans, regardless of their political views.

"Governor Oborevwori has consistently shown that he is a leader concerned with the welfare of everyone in Delta State. His leadership fosters unity and progress, making him a governor for all," said General Oloye.

The Special Assistant also pointed out that the endorsement from such a key opposition figure underscored Governor Oborevwori's impressive record during his first two years in office.

"When political leaders from opposing parties recognize a governor's achievements, it indicates tangible progress. Hon. Waive's endorsement is a testament to the governor’s impactful governance," he added.

Governor Oborevwori has embarked on several transformative projects, including infrastructure development, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and economic revitalization.

Under his MORE Agenda, the state has witnessed a renewed emphasis on policies aimed at improving the living standards of all citizens.

Some of the governor's key achievements include:

Road Construction and Rehabilitation: The governor has prioritized upgrading urban and rural roads to improve connectivity for underserved communities.

Educational Advancements: His administration has made significant investments in school infrastructure, teacher welfare, and scholarship programs.

Healthcare Improvements: The revamping of primary healthcare centers and the enhancement of hospital facilities have greatly improved medical service delivery across the state.

Economic and Agricultural Development: The governor has spearheaded initiatives to boost agriculture, create jobs, and stabilize the state's economy.

Security and Peacebuilding: Governor Oborevwori’s approach to security has fostered a peaceful environment, making Delta State more conducive for business and investment.

General Oloye called on all political figures in the state to follow Hon. Waive's example and set aside partisan differences in favor of the state’s collective progress. “Good governance is about the people, not political affiliations. It’s time we all recognize that Governor Oborevwori is here to serve everyone, not just his party members,” he remarked.

He urged opposition leaders, community figures, and other stakeholders to rally behind the governor’s initiatives for the greater good of Delta State.

The endorsement of Governor Oborevwori by Hon. Francis Waive marks a pivotal moment in Delta State politics, reinforcing the governor’s broad support across party lines.

As the governor continues to implement progressive policies, further endorsements are expected, solidifying his reputation as the people's governor.
